Small Town Composer

Brenda Hascall, born in 1965 in Granada Hills, California, is a rising American composer. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music performance from California State University Northridge, and a Master of Arts degree in band conducting from the American Band College of Sam Houston State University. Brenda is a retired music educator with a career spanning 28 years, during which she taught band, strings, choir, and guitar classes at all grade levels on the central coast of California. Currently, she serves as the conductor of the Morro Bay White Caps Community Band and frequently appears as a guest conductor for other community bands in the region.Â
